Players belonging to Jamia Girls High School Abbottabad, Govt Girls High School No 2, Abbottabad, The Educators Haripur and Super Martial Arts Academy Haripur performed a march past, tableau, band, PT, gymnastics and karate to great appreciation from the audience.
Speaking on this occasion, Lodhi said this was a unique opportunity for sportswomen to showcase their talents. He said the purpose of the Under-23 tournament was to hunt for new talent and provide players with opportunities to perform at the national and international levels.
He reiterated the government would continue supporting sportsmen and women.
South Asian Games: Pakistan all geared up for mega event
Sports DG Rasheeda Ghaznvi announced a cash award of Rs10,000 for the band, PT, gymnastic and tableau performances, and Rs1,000 for each of the girls performing martial arts and reciting naat.
She said during the games, women from Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra and Battagram would participate in 13 different events.
