Multan resumed their innings 65-3 and added 300 runs to finish the day 365-9. Naved made 133 runs off 137 balls, while Muzamil made 119 off 149 balls to give their side a 258-run lead.
While Naved and Muzamil’s innings took Multan to a strong position, the side’s other batsmen failed miserably as no one, apart from the century-making duo, was able to cross 22 runs. Faisalabad’s Asad Ali was the pick of the bowlers on the day as he took three wickets, while at the end of play Faisalabad were 83-0, trailing by 175 runs.

In the other match, Karachi Blues’ Sohail Khan, who had taken five Sialkot wickets on Saturday, scored an unbeaten century yesterday to guide his team to a strong first innings total.
The Karachi outfit resumed their innings 62-7 and added 165 runs to take their first innings total to 227 as Sohail made 140.

Sialkot’s Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Abbas took three wickets each, while Mohammad Kamran took two. At the end of play, Sialkot were 116-6 in their second innings.
