Mqm’s seat: By-polls on PS-115 on April 4
The list of final candidates has also been issued.
ISLAMABAD:
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will hold by-elections on Sindh Assembly’s seat PS-115, Karachi, on April 4, 2016. The seat had fallen vacant after the resignation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Member Provincial Assembly Dr Arshad Abdullah Vohra. Vohra had resigned as a provincial lawmaker after MQM nominated him as the party’s candidate for the post of Karachi deputy mayor. The ECP has appointed Karachi Regional Election Commissioner Ali Asghar Sial as the district returning officer, Karachi East district election commissioner, Tabinda Khalique as the returning officer and Ferozabad Mukhtiarkar Ghulam Qadir Nuhrio as assistant returning officer for the by-polls, said a notification issued on Sunday. The list of final candidates has also been issued.
