Violence against women: Man kills wife over honour
At least 933 people have been killed across the country in the name of honour during the last two years
BANNU:
A man killed his wife and a security guard in the name of honour in Bannu on Sunday. An official of Cantonment police station said the accused, Rasool Noor, reportedly saw his wife Sabina in a compromising position with a security guard from the area, identified as Rasool Niaz. He was reported to have flown into a rage and opened fire on them. As a result, Sabina and Niaz were killed on the spot. However, Noor managed to flee after the incident, said the policeman. Later, the bodies were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Bannu for legal formalities. Police has registered an FIR based on Sabina’s father-in-law Noor Hassan’s complaint.
