In this connection, the LMM team — comprising of Natasha Noorani, Zahra Paracha, Hasan Abbas, Noor Habib and creative director Ayesha Haroon — has set up seminars on music. The discussions will cover other topics like ‘Scoring on the Big Screen: Soundtracks and Music in Pakistani Cinema’ and ‘Audio-Visual Collectives in Pakistan.’ The two-day event will also feature renowned musicians Tina Sani, Mekaal Hassan, Haroon, Ali Noor and Ali Hamza, to name a few. The meet is open for all with no entry fee.
Music to the ears: Sights and sounds of Shahdara
As an organisation, LMM provides a platform a variety of activities related to the field of music, including performance, academia and enterprise. Through its efforts, LMM hopes to revitalise music across Pakistan and abroad as well, bringing together artists, enthusiasts, industry representatives and academics to initiate dialogue and overcome shortcomings of the music industry.
