Police have arrested 22 members of Baba Dacoit gang wanted for dozens of robberies, CCPO Amin Wains said on Friday.
The suspects have been identified as Liaqat Hussain, Muhammad Ashraf, Asif Masih, Arsalan Masih, Dilshad Masih, Ghulam Mustafa, Muhammad Imran, Kamran, Muhammad Amir, Muhammad Waqas, Tariq Mustafa, Ahmad Yar, Muhammad Imran Bhatti, Muhammad Irfan, Umar Daraz, Muhammad Riaz, Abdul Tauheed, Wajid, Ghulam Hussain, Syed Raza Abbas, Shabbir Muhammad and Amir Awais.
More than Rs23.75 million, jewellery, laptops, cell phones, illicit weapons and tools used for melting gold jewellery have been recovered from them, the CCPO told a press conference.
As many as 71 cases have been registered against them, he said.
