‘A Good Step’: IIAA president appreciates auto policy

ISLAMABAD:
Islamabad Industrial Area Association (IIAA) President Faridoon Khattak said the new auto policy will create a balance between industrial growth and tariffs to ensure sustainability for all stakeholders. Appreciating the policy, he termed it a good step by the government, which will protect the local consumers besides encouraging new automotive brands to enter the industry. Khattak said, “It will have some long and short term impact on the economy of the country. It would ensure consumer welfare along with providing policy consistency and predictability for investors.” The policy aims to facilitate higher volumes, better investment, enhanced competition and better quality with latest technology.
