Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah of Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday said that similar tax cases would be clubbed together with help of the Lahore Tax Bar for their timely disposal.
He was addressing the annual meeting of the Lahore Tax Bar. “A total of 8,500 tax cases are lying pending, but no serious effort is being made [for early rulings]. Their disposal will be possible with collective efforts,” he said.
Justice Shah said that tax cases would be divided into groups with the support of the Lahore Tax Bar for their timely disposal.
“All tax cases pending with regional LHC benches can be decided timely if they are shifted to the LHC’s principal seat,” he said.
