After Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali infuriated Pakistanis with his rendition of the national anthem at Eden Gardens ahead of Pakistan-India T20 clash, we found someone who's rendition of the anthem would put any singer to shame.

Currently studying towards a Bachelor of Music Degree at Belmont University, Iman Nadeem sang the Pakistani National anthem beautifully when representing the country in the US, during a medical conference.

The Association of Physicians of Pakistani-descent of North America (APPNA) had their annual conference in Orlando in August 2015, where Nadeem came on stage with a trumpet -- one of the multiple instruments the musician has mastered.

Iman is the daughter of two Pakistani immigrants, who now resides in the US. As an artist, she hopes to merge her two backgrounds by reaching two very different audiences. Greatly influenced by her Pakistani background, she is learning how to sing with classical technique exhibited by musical legends from Pakistan and India.

NKhan | 8 years ago | Reply @Mega. I think you have misunderstood my original comment. I never said Amitabh Bachaan sang the Indian national anthem badly. From what I have heard, he did an excellent job. No my comment was a general observation about how South Asians are very sensitive to their national symbols. For example you will regularly see the British Union Jack flag decorating undergarments. You will never never see that with any South Asian symbol. Okay this is an extreme comparison but I am just trying to explain my point. Another point is that should a British artist get the national anthem wrong at a sporting event they will be ridiculed in the press but it would not result in a court case for insulting national sentiments.

Sultan | 8 years ago | Reply Kudos to this girl who sang from her heart, with zeal and fervor. I have NEVER heard national anthem sang in her melodious tone, what a voice!!! On the sad note, being a Pakistani occasion, none of the audience and the girls standing behind gave her any clap or applaud of some sort. Shame on those audience!!! This girl deserves an standing ovation the least!! By the way, the girls behind look so sad and scared, as if they have been given death sentence, cheer up you are on on camera!!! So sad! Pakistaneown, be proud and stop being jealous of each other and respect each other and try to smile on someone's achievement whether its big or small.

Mega | 8 years ago | Reply @N.Khan: Sorry but indians didn't get offended by amitabhs national anthem, as u assume. Amitabh Bachchan made no error and was accurate. Indians loved it. It was talking point/highlight of day apart from winning match. It's the publicity stunt unknown film maker from Delhi who filed the case for amitabh extending timing of anthem. and he's going to loose case badly coz Nobidy sings it within 52 secs.

Naila | 8 years ago | Reply Had enjoyable experience while listening to her passionate rendition of national anthem,at the same time i think ppl have been unjust with SAA wid their criticism,nothing drastic has happened,feeling bad at the sick mindedness of these ppl

N.Khan | 8 years ago | Reply National anthems are often sang so seriously often because people in both India and Pakistan get easily offended if one word is sang wrong. Although this is no excuse for Shafqat's obviously half hearted attempt. The reason I am saying this is because what I loved so much about Iman's version is that she is smiling and seems happy to be singing the anthem. And you can feel the passion and emotion in her voice. Shafqat's version was so flat even if you removed the loud music. In fact he is such a good singer he should not have even had any background music.
