PESHAWAR:

The bail application of two persons who were arrested for kidnapping a six-year-old boy for ransom was dismissed. Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel heard an application on Monday.

It was filed by the accused, Muhammad Ayaz, Muhammad Nabi and Ihtesham. Miankhel was informed they had kidnapped six-year-old Ali Raza on January 8 from Pabbi, Nowshera and had demanded a heavy amount to release the boy. However, they were arrested by Pabbi police. The chief justice was told their bail plea was already dismissed by a trial court in light of the evidence available against them.

After hearing the arguments, the CJ dismissed the bail application and ordered two of them to be sent to jail. However, Ihtesham was released on bail. He was charged for abetting Ayaz and Nabi. However, Ali was not rescued from him but from the other two accused.
