One of the members of the group was so shocked by the breach that he contacted the Hello hit maker’s management to let them know. The tranche also contained pictures from the singer’s childhood, a photo of her dressed in a Santa Claus outfit as a teenager and the early days of her career, not previously released to the public.
“I was appalled and upset for Adele when I saw the photographs. They are really private and should not be passed around. I think it is disgusting that her so-called fans were sending them and I thought it should be stopped,” the member of the group was quoted as saying. He deemed the penetrating of Adele’s privacy as disgusting and brutal. “The information leaked is way too private, especially the picture of her when she was pregnant. If Adele wanted to share these images, I am sure she would. It would be up to her if she wants intimate photographs like these shown around.”
It is believed the hacker accessed the images, which also included a photograph of her in her early 20s, lying on a bed holding a champagne bottle and a cigarette, via Konecki’s email account.
Adele has previously been clear about her issues with fame and its dangers, as she struggles to maintain a private life while cultivating professional success. “People think I hate being famous but I don’t. I’m just really frightened of it,” Adele said earlier in an interview. Currently, the singer is in the middle of a six-night stint at the O2 Arena in London, as part of her impending world tour.
