Reportes suggested 12 suspects including two proscribed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) commanders Jamir and Baloch Khan were killed in a search operation carried out by Frontier Corps (FC) and security forces.
An FC spokesperson said the suspects were involved in attacks on security forces, target killings and other terrorist activities.

Earlier in February, at least two suspected militants were killed and 35 others were rounded up in Quetta in a search operation, launched a day after a deadly suicide attack in the city’s red zone.
On February 6, at least 12 people, including four paramilitary FC troops, were killed and 37 others injured when a suicide bomber targeted an FC convoy in Quetta’s Adalat Road.
Khurasani Group, a faction of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had claimed responsibility for the attack.
