Diagnostics: AIDS screening centres to be set up

He said that in five districts of the province, surveys would be conducted for the identification of the patients

QUETTA: Balochistan’s Director General Health Dr Masood Nosherwani has said that a screening centre is being established in all the district headquarters of the province for the diagnosis of AIDS. Speaking to the media here at Quetta Press Club, he said that in five districts of the province — Killa Saifullah, Naseerbad, Lasbella, Zhob, and Sherani — surveys  would be conducted for the identification, behavior and lifestyle of the patients. He added that the Balochistan AIDS Control Programme has not only controlled the deadly syndrome, but has also been successful in creating awareness among the masses about it. The director general said that the viral load machine and other necessary equipment have also been procured for the purpose of diagnosis at district headquarters.
