20th convocation: Over 1,100 students graduate from Hamdard University

Scientist Dr Attaur Rehman urged the students to acquire good quality education and to serve the nation with zeal

Hamdard University recently held its 20th convocation at Mueed Hall in Madinatul Hikmah where around 1,116 graduates were conferred degree in various disciplines and three were awarded PhDs in the field of education.


Scientist Dr Attaur Rehman, who was the chief guest at the convocation, urged the students to acquire good quality education and to serve the nation with zeal. Investing in science and technology can help our nation make key progress, he said.


Hamdard University vice-chancellor Sadia Rashid also congratulated the graduates. She shared the vision of Shaheed Hakim Said to prepare the youth to meet future challenges and to develop the qualities of love, devotion and determination to serve mankind.

One of the PhD graduates who secured the top score, Dr Munir Moosa Sadruddin, said that this day is the beginning of his new life. He further added it is the responsibility of the graduates to understand their duties towards promoting global education and disseminate knowledge to others.
