Unhygienic food: Over 160 violators issued notice in three months

ISLAMABAD:


During the last three months, specially constituted teams of the CDA’s Health Services Directorate have issued tickets to 118 violators for selling unhygienic food items.


Besides that, 162 violators have been issued notices under the Pakistan Pure Food Ordinance 1960.


This information was shared by the Directorate of Health Services during a meeting held at the authority’s headquarters to review performance of the food control teams.


The meeting was chaired by the CDA member administration Amer Ali Ahmad.


Meeting was told that 13 different premises had been partially sealed in addition to the lodging of first information report against owner of a school canteen in sector H-8.


Meanwhile, during the campaign different substandard items were also confiscated and destroyed.
