Murad spoke of the unity between the people of the two neighbouring countries. “Pakistani actors and singers are working in India and doing very well,” said Murad. “I wish and hope that Indian artists also do the same in Pakistan,” he told the attendees, which included actor Mustafa Qureshi and ghazal singer Ghulam Ali Khan amongst others.
The Goliyon Ki Raasleela – Ram-Leela actor went on to share how impressed he was of the hospitality Pakistanis had extended towards him. “I will never forget the time spent here. I am going back to India with some wonderful memories from this side of the border,” Murad said. “My visit to Pakistan has been very important for me since this time, I did not come for any other purpose but to fulfill the wishes of my daughter who wanted to come here,” he added.

Murad also shared it had been his desire to see Qureshi in person for a very long time. “I am impressed by his acting and am thankful to the Lahoris for fulfilling my desire to meet him,” he said. “I’ve watched nearly all of his films and admired his character Nori Nutt the most.”
