Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be the latest addition to Madame Tussauds' collection of wax statues in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok this April.

Measurements for his statue had to be taken by the wax museum's team, and as his images surfaced on social media, Twitter couldn't get enough of the PM. Trolls struck gold and made hilarious Modi memes.

Described as a “hugely important figure in world politics”, the museum said Modi had given the hospitality to the museum’s team of artists and experts at his residence in New Delhi earlier this year.

“Madame Tussauds has crafted figures of distinguished dignitaries from around the world — how could I regard myself worthy of being alongside them?” Modi said in a statement.

“But when I was informed that your decision had emanated from public opinion and public sentiment, I was comforted.”

The wax figures at each of the museum will be dressed in the “signature kurta” of the Indian prime minister in cream colour with jacket in a traditional pose “making a Namaste gesture.” Modi fans however, have other ideas.
