BHAKKAR: A girl was killed on Wednesday allegedly by her brother in a Darya Khan police precinct. Police said Azhar, a resident of Aliwala, had just returned home from working in the fields on Wednesday when he stabbed his 17-year-old sister. Police said that they had received a call from the girl’s family who had reported a suicide. They said that they visited the scene of the crime and found out that it was not a suicide but murder. Police said that they had taken the body into custody and sent it to the Darya Khan Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem examination. They said that Azhar had fled. “We have filed a case under Section 302 (murder) and are looking for him,” the Darya Khan SHO said.
