The administration has decided to close all seminaries falling within two kilometre radius of the Parade Avenue for a week as a security measure for the Pakistan Day parade on March 23.
The seminaries and shrines will remain closed from March 18 to 24, an official of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration said.
The official said a total of 41 seminaries fell in the area: 18 in the jurisdiction of Industrial Area police, six in Shahzad Town police, 14 in Aabpara police while three are located within the limits of Secretariat Police Station.
The administration has also imposed a ban on use of helicams or drone cameras in Islamabad. The administration has already banned kite and pigeon flying in ICT for two months, saying they posed a threat to fighter jets rehearsing for the Pakistan Day parade.
Section 144, which prohibits assembly of five or more persons, has also been imposed in Islamabad from March 18 to 24.
