Murder: Man sentenced to life imprisonment

The court declared Asad a proclaimed offender and said he would be prosecuted once he was arrested

FAISALABAD:
Additional Sessions Judge Amjad Nazir Chaudhary sentenced a murder convict to life imprisonment on Monday. The prosecution said that Shehzad and Asad had shot Ehsan Javaid, a resident of Chak 153-RB, to death on July 26, 2011, in a Sahianwala police precinct. Shehzad was sentenced to life imprisonment under Section 302-B of Pakistan Penal Code (murder). The convict was also directed to pay Rs100,000 as compensation to the deceased’s family. In case he is unable to pay the amount, he will have to undergo an additional term of six months. The court declared Asad a proclaimed offender and said he would be prosecuted once he was arrested.
