According to a press release issued on Sunday, Yousafzai visited both Pesco divisions and reviewed their performance. He also asked them to stop people from installing illegal “kunda” connections. He also held a public meeting with locals, MNAs and MPAs. The CEO directed officials to replace defective meters immediately and start photo billing in all subdivisions to deal with billing complaints.
“The provision of better facilities to consumers is our first priority and every step should be taken to ensure it is achieved,” the press release quoted Yousafzai as saying.
The CEO also said no load-shedding should be carried out in areas where losses are less than 30% and recovery was up to 70%.
He directed officials to provide emergency transformer trolleys in each division.
“The Construction of 132KV transformers in Maidan and Lal Qila will soon be started,” the document quoted Yousafzai as saying. “This will help overcome problems of overloading, low voltage, tripping and breakdowns.”
National Assembly member Sahibzada Tariqullah, Yaqoob Khan and MPA Shahibzada Sanaullah Khan, district council members and nazims attended the meeting.
