The home department has failed to release arrears pending against the Swabi district police department for last two polio campaigns.
A department official told The Express Tribune a campaign costs over Rs3 million.
“We have yet to be provided the arrears. These includes arrears [which need to be paid to] transporters and other people who facilitated [police called from other districts],” a senior official said. When contacted, DPO Swabi Javed Iqbal confirmed the reports, saying, “We have been assured that the funds will be released in the near future.”
