Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dr Nedim Makarevic invited Pakistani businessmen to explore the country’s market and participate in Sarajevo business forum 2016 scheduled from May 4 in Bosnia.
Speaking at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), he said although Bosnia has a small market, it can provide direct access to the European community. He added that there are no business related restrictions and those interested in participating should contact former FCCI president Engineer Suhail bin Rashid for visa facilitation.
Responding to a question, he said Bosnia produces cheap hydel electricity and despite having surplus they cannot export it to Pakistan due to absence of transmission lines. Rashid said that the trade between the two countries is growing but is still not up to its potential.
“There are vast prospects of joint ventures in textile, agro-based industry and leather.”
