British newspaper Daily Mail unknowingly shared major gossip on Wednesday as it failed to recognise a famous Bollywood actor.

A report published in the paper stated Tennis ace Novak Djokovic was spotted with a “leggy brunette” at a local haunt in Los Angeles. But little did they know, that the “female companion” was none other than Deepika Padukone.

“The world number one tennis player appeared to have had a great night as he was pictured exiting the bar - popular among LA’s A-lister set - in the dark hours of the evening with a female companion,” Daily Mail reported.

“The world number one tennis player flashed the paps a cheeky grin before joining his impeccably turned-out friend in the back seat of a getaway car,” the report added.

But guess who the "impeccably turned-out friend" was...

People were amused that the British tabloid failed to identify Deepika. How dare they?

Earlier, Deepika's encounter with Nadal created ripples among fans as well.

Deepika is currently shooting her Hollywood debut xXx: The Return of Xander Cage alongside Vin Diesel. The film is expected to release in 2017.
