El-nino: NDMA issues weather warning

ISLAMABAD: A strong weather system, located over Iran, is very likely to enter the country via Balochistan on Thursday and affect the entire country over the weekend. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) acting on the warning from the weatherman has asked the authorities concerned to take necessary measures to avoid loss of life and property due to expected flash floods in Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Azad Kashmir. NDMA has also directed rescue agencies to be ready for responding at shortest notice and issue warning to people through SMS and radio.
