Addressing problems: Toxic chemicals causing ‘silent deaths’

Inappropriate use of toxic chemicals in chemical industries causes a number of `silent deaths’. The director of International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), Karachi University, Prof Dr M Iqbal Choudhary, said this at a meeting at the HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, according to an official of the institution. Realising the importance of the issue, the ICCBS is organising a National Training Course on Chemical Industry Standards from March 7 to March 18.
