Their close friend Karan Johar was also present at the cremation ground. In this connection, the celebrated film-maker took to Twitter and paid his tribute to Colonel Chibber online. “Death is the only reminder of life,” he tweeted on Wednesday.
Originally from the village of Patti in Hoshiarpur district, Colonel Chibber migrated to Delhi back in 1970. Soon after, he was married to Gauri’s mother Savita with whom he had two children: Gauri and a son named Vikrant.
As per media reports, Shah Rukh is said to have put the shooting of a new project on hold, in order to be with his family. He will next be seen in director Maneesh Sharma’s upcoming thriller Fan, which is slated to release on April 15.
