In prison: Masoom Shah reportedly attempts suicide
Jail Superintendent Masoodur Rehman, said no such incident happened in the prison

Former adviser to Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, Syed Masoom Shah, who has been in jail, allegedly tried to commit suicide on Wednesday. He reportedly snatched a pistol from a guard in Central Prison Peshawar when he was returning from court. But the pistol was without any magazine as they are removed from guns before entering the jail’s inmates section.

Cantonment SP Kashif Zulfiqar confirmed the incident and said it happened when he was taken back to prison from court. Later, the jail administration sent Shah to a psychiatrist for assessment as he was thought to be suffering from clinical depression. However, Jail Superintendent Masoodur Rehman, said no such incident happened in the prison.
