Oscar winners rejoice!
And the winners are Brie Larson and Leonardo DiCaprio!
And the winners are Brie Larson and Leonardo DiCaprio! Bagging the little gold statues, many of us were almost unanimous in our declaration that these two not only deserved the Oscar honours for actors in leading roles but also merited the title of the 2016 awards season’s breakout style icons.
Brie Larson
The Room actor appeared to be more of a royal spectacle than anything else at the Oscars. The talented diva took things to another echelon in a regal blue embellished gown by Gucci, which she paired with more jewelled accessories. Looking effortlessly good-looking in her majestic ensemble, she pulled off the ruffled skirt and train, along with a glitzy belt like a real winner. Donning a neat mid parting, the star kept her hair looking fuss-free and her makeup, minimal. We approved.
Leonardo DiCaprio
Leo finally won his first Oscar for his awe-inspiring performance in The Revenant, and boy, did he appear ready for it. The 41-year-old exuded class and poise as he made an entrance dressed in a classic noir well-fitted tuxedo with corresponding glossy dress shoes. Keeping his hair slicked back in an orderly fashion, the Titanic heartthrob looked dapper, rocking his signature French goatee and that polite smile — and yes, we were left swooning.
