SHABQADAR:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers in Shabqadar protested at Bacha Khan Square on Sunday against their own MPA for his alleged involvement in corruption and nepotism.

While addressing the protesters, a PTI member in the district, Ilyas Jan, said party workers elected the MPA, Muhammad Arif Ahmedzai, from PK-22, but he was found to be involved in corruption and nepotism.

The MPA has been accused of allotting construction contracts to his relatives and selecting two tehsil members and two district council members on reserved seats from his home union council, MC-3 Shabqadar. Therefore, Jan added, the PTI-led government should take action against him.

He said if the leadership does not take action against him, they would protest in front of the CM House in Peshawar on March 18 and at Bani Gala on March 22. The protest on Sunday was also attended by tehsil councillors and JUI-F and JI members.
