Polling for the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench bar association was held on Saturday. Lawyers from around the Rawalpindi division cast their votes.
A total of 3,335 lawyers are registered as voters. Sarkar Abbas, Ghufran Khurshid Imtiazi, Mujib Kiani and Khalid Abbasi are contesting elections for the seat of president while candidates for secretary included Faheem Chaudhry and Faisal Butt. The court did not hear any case due to the bar elections on Saturday.
The elections also created traffic issues on the GT Road as many lawyers had parked their cars along the road.
