Money well-spent: Use LG funds judiciously, warns Khattak

The chief minister stressed the need to maintain the quality of development schemes

Elected representatives should be well aware of their duties so they can ensure funds are utilised carefully and quality construction work is carried out in development schemes. This was said by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, according to a press release issued on Sunday from his office.


Khattak was talking to a delegation of MPAs at the CM Secretariat in the city. He highlighted the reforms initiative was taken up by the provincial government to ensure efficient service delivery in educational and medical institutions. He added the government will work on the issue of staff shortage as it affects the performance of any institute.

According to Khattak, 400 higher secondary schools of Khyber-Pakthunkhwa were being upgraded – furniture would also be provided for them. The chief minister stressed the need to maintain the quality of development schemes – for instance the construction of roads should start after drains are properly repaired.

He said public representative should be vigilant about development work to ensure equal distribution of funds.
