Crackdown: Two suspects arrested in Hangu

A pistol, Kalashnikov and a rifle were also seized

HANGU: At least two suspects were arrested within the jurisdiction of Hangu police station on Friday. Drugs and weapons were also seized from their possession. According to a police official, a search operation was conducted in Shahu Khel. “Amanullah and Zareem Gul were arrested from Station Road,” he said. “Around eight kilogrammes of hashish was confiscated from their possession. A pistol, Kalashnikov and a rifle were also seized.” Hangu DSP Rafihullah Khan said both suspects will be interrogated. “A crackdown has been launched to arrest smugglers and keep a check on crime in Hangu,” he said. “Action will be taken against anyone found guilty of smuggling drugs or weapons.”
