The review was carried out during the deputy chairman’s visit to Balochistan. Tajwar’s visit was a follow-up of the annual inspection conducted by the chairman’s inspection & monitoring team (CI&MT) at the provincial offices of the agency. CI&MT carried out the annual inspection of NAB Quetta Bureau from February 22 to February 25, 2016 in order to review and evaluate its performance on the basis of the newly introduced Partly Quantified Grading System (PQGS).

The chairman of CI&MT informed the deputy chairman that the Quetta bureau’s performance based on the PQGS was outstanding with an operational efficiency index (OEI) of 89.59%. The CI&MT team also gave a detailed briefing to the deputy chief regarding the annual inspection, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the regional bureau.
NAB is committed to eradicating corruption across the board by adopting a zero tolerance policy against corruption throughout the country, said Tajwar on the occasion.
Calling NAB Balochistan an important bureau, he said that it has played a prominent role in contributing towards the overall performance of NAB. “Despite the law and order situation and vast area of Balochistan, the regional bureau has performed in a befitting manner,” Tajwar said. He also appreciated the performance of the bureau under the supervision of NAB chief Balochistan Major (retd) Tariq Mehmood Malik.
Eradicating corruption: NAB takes steps to curb corruption
He called upon NAB officials to continue their efforts to eradicate corruption with the same zeal, hoping that the grey areas identified by the inspection team would be removed. He also directed all bureau officials to work more vigilantly and diligently in order to eradicate corrupt practices from the country.
