Intra-Party Polls: PTI announces procedure

PTI will prepare preliminary voters’ lists and will forward them to the offices of provincial and DEC

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has announced the procedure of intra-party elections which will be held in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on April 25. The elections will be held at union council, tehsil, district, region and provincial level, a handout issued by the party stated on Thursday. After the membership campaign, PTI will prepare preliminary voters’ lists and will forward them to the offices of provincial and district election coordinators (DEC). Any objections such as fake memberships or deletion of members from the voters’ lists will be received by DEC in written form only from the voters or expecting candidates. After rectifications, final voters’ list will be displayed in the offices of DEC and no complaints will be entertained after publication of the list. As for the procedure of filing nomination papers by contesting candidates, DEC will provide and collect nomination papers from UCs, tehsils, towns and districts.
