Justice Ranjana Desai and Justice RV More also reserved the order on an appeal filed by the Maharashtra government challenging the acquittal of suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba operatives Ansari and Ahmed, who were charged with providing maps of target spots to terrorists involved in the carnage.
Special Public Prosecutor Ujjawal Nikam said that both Ansari and Ahmed were Indian citizens, but Ansari got a Pakistani passport on the basis of fake documents. He said the trial court erred in acquitting them.
