HYDERABAD: The Sindh Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) raided the Central Jail, Hyderabad, and checked the financial records of three budgetary years. According to ACE deputy director Irfan Mukhtar Bhutto, the team also visited the women and juvenile prisons, also located in the Central Jail’s compound. The team checked the kitchen, hospital, vocational training centre and other facilities provided to the inmates, he added. “The team checked the financial records of the development works inside the prison, income from rent of the jail properties [and] stipend paid against labour of the prisoners,” he said. The team also took copies of the three years’ record of expenditures, said Bhutto.
