Necessary Renewal: KU extends expiry date of gate passes

The old passes will not be accepted at any gate of the university after March 3, he explained

KARACHI: The University of Karachi's (KU) adviser on campus security affairs, Professor Dr Muhammad Zubair, has issued a notification that, on the directives of the vice-chancellor of the university, the last date for barrier or gate passes has been extended till March 3. Keeping in view security concerns at the varsity, the university administration had announced that all gate passes and car stickers will be cancelled and all employees and students are instructed to get new gate passes by February 22. "Till today, more than 820 gate passes and 580 car stickers have been issued by the campus security office," Zubair told The Express Tribune. He also said that the date has been extended so that all the teachers and staff can obtain the passes. The old passes will not be accepted at any gate of the university after March 3, he explained.
