Pm’s programme : FDE schools receiving upgrades

The official elaborated that the FDE is also in a process to hiring guards from private security companies

ISLAMABAD:


The height of boundary walls of some 46 educational institutions operating under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) will be completed shortly, a senior official of the Capital Administration and Development Division said.


The security measures under the Prime Minister’s educational reform programme include raising boundary walls, installing close-circuit television cameras, and security inspection monitoring systems for real time monitoring, analysis and inspection.


A total of 597 security guards are available in 422 educational institutions, while recruitment against vacant posts of security guards is in process, he added.


The official elaborated that the FDE is also in a process to hiring guards from private security companies till the availability of regular security staff at schools.


He said the Rs180 million PMERP had been launched in the capital to upgrade buildings and provide education enhancing facilities.
