Ranveer Singh claims he is not brand conscious but aware of the brands out there

MUMBAI: Bollywood heartthrob Ranveer Singh seems to be everywhere these days. The jet-setting actor took out some time from his hectic schedule to attend the opening ceremony of American clothing and accessories retailer GAP’s new outlet in the city. Singh — who is known for his quirky and eclectic sense of style — opened up about his fashion choices and how he does not set much store by big brands.

“I wouldn’t call myself brand conscious but I am very aware of brand,” said award-winning Singh. “I am very much aware of brands so my knowledge of them is good. Perhaps that is why the actor chose to attend the launch event. “GAP is one of the most renowned brands in the world. It’s a household name,” he said. “It assures one of quality, coolness and style. It’s great that they have come to Mumbai,” added Singh. According to the 30-year-old, GAP offers “durable and high quality” products. “So, even if a person has a certain financial standing and finds this cloth expensive, it would be an investment,” explained Singh.

On the film front, Singh has been hitting the jackpot one after the other, with successful releases such as Dil Dhadakne Do and Bajirao Mastani. He is currently prepping up for his next venture, Befikre in which he will star opposite Vaani Kapoor of Shudh Desi Romance fame. The film will mark Aditya Chopra’s comeback as a director.
