Family dispute: Young boy killed, brother injured

The police have launched an investigation into the incident and were searching for the suspect

A young boy was shot dead in Taxila on Friday and his brother injured, allegedly by a close relative over a family dispute.


According to sources, Lal Baz made his way into the house of Zaman Khan in the Hassan Colony area and opened indiscriminate fire. A bullet hit 13-year-old Zahoor Khan, killing him on the spot. Another bullet hit his brother, Shafeeq Khan, who was shifted to a hospital for treatment. The attacker then fled the scene.


The police have launched an investigation into the incident and were searching for the suspect.


Meanwhile, the body of a man was found in an open area near Taxila Museum. Police said passersby spotted the body and informed the police, who shifted it to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Taxila, where the victim was identified as Irfan, a resident of Lahore.
