Maha Shivratri Festival: Call for elaborate arrangements
Katas Raj temples are situated in Punjab near Choa Saidanshah, in Chakwal district
CHAKWAL:
Deputy Commissioner Asim Javed has ordered the local administration to put in place elaborate arrangements to facilitate Hindu pilgrims coming from across the world including India to take part in the Maha Shivratri festival at Katas Raj temples. Dedicated to the Lord Shiva, Katas Raj temples are situated in Punjab near Choa Saidanshah, in Chakwal district, where the ritual takes place every year. While chairing a meeting regarding the arrangements leading up to the festival, the official said that the Hindu pilgrims were their guests and the administration would leave no stone unturned to facilitate them during their stay in the district. He urged the meeting participants to impress upon the visiting pilgrims through hospitality that minorities were safe and free in Pakistan to practice their religion. He said that their good will gesture will help portray the soft image of the country.
