Terror bid foiled: Two alleged militants nabbed

The alleged terrorists have been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation

CHITRAL: The counter-terrorism department (CTD) police arrested two alleged militants, including an Afghan national, from Darosh tehsil, Chitral district late Tuesday night. Explosives weighing 1.2 kilogrammes, safety fuses and detonators were also confiscated from them. CTD officials, acting on a tip-off, raided a house at Bewri valley in Darosh and arrested the culprits who were staying there for the night after crossing Lowari Top. According to an official, the explosives were meant for terrorist activity in Chitral. The alleged terrorists have been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation. They were identified as Taseer Shah, a resident of Afghanistan, now residing in Qurban Garhi, and Ghulam, a resident of Yakatoot, Peshawar, now residing in Dog Dara, Swat.
