SHABQADAR:

Benazir Income Support Programme Chairperson Marvi Memon has said an interest-free loan scheme will be launched all over the country. She was talking at a Waseela-e-Haq event in Rajar, Charsadda on Wednesday. “Skill centres will also be established to provide vocational training to women.”

Memon said around 80,000 children in Pakistan were getting free education through the Waseela-e-Taleem initiative. Around 5,000 students from Charsadda completed their undergraduate degree through Waseela-e-Taleem, added Memon.

The BISP head said some elements were politicising the fact that the prime minister and his Cabinet members did not visit Bacha Khan University after the attack. Refuting these rumours, Memon said she and four federal ministers visited the university after the attack and met students. She praised the bravery of the people of Charsadda.
