Karachi Kings to develop youth academy system for aspiring cricketers

The franchise will initiate three new teams named Karachi Kings XI, Karachi Kings under-19 and Karachi Kings under-15

Salman Iqbal, owner of HBL PSL team Karachi Kings, officially announced on Wednesday that the team will undertake major steps this year to develop a youth system for Karachi-based cricket players.

Under the new proposal, the franchise will initiate three additional teams named Karachi Kings XI, Karachi Kings under-19 and Karachi Kings under-15. This would allow young aspiring cricketers to receive proper training and will provide them with a chance to represent senior domestic and national sides.

PSL teams duke it out in fan loyalty battle

The Karachi Kings XI will comprise of players selected and trained for the main Karachi Kings team and will have a chance to play in local tournaments.

Other than that, players selected for Karachi Kings under-15 and Karachi Kings under-19 will also receive school and college scholarships by the franchise to ensure equal concentration on studies alongside cricket.
