Village, neighbourhood council: Rs115m for office expenses released

MARDAN: The provincial government has released funds up to Rs 115 million to Fazalullah, the assistant director of Mardan municipalities, who then disbursed them among 231 village and neighbourhood councils. The funds were distributed at a special function held at the assistant director’s office on Sunday. Fazalullah released cheques worth Rs0.5 million each to all village and neighbourhood nazims and secretaries for their office furniture, rent, stationery and other operational expenses. Nazim Councillor Alliance President Sajid Iqbal Mohmand and General Secretary Walid Mir Kashmiri were also present on the occasion. Sajid Iqbal and Walid Mir thanked the provincial government for releasing the funds and said the provincial government has fulfilled its promise.
