Jilted: Action sought against ex-fiancé
She requested the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against him
LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday sought comments from the Kot Lakhpat SHO on a petition filed by a woman seeking registration of a case against her former fiancé for showing her text messages to a later fiancé resulting in a break-up with the latter. Shazia Bibi submitted that she had been engaged to Iftikhar Kaleem. She said she was later engaged to another man after Kaleem, a Pakistan International Airlines pilot, did not contact her for a year. “After I was engaged again, Kaleem appeared and showed our text messages to my fiancé who then broke up with me,” she said. She said Kaleem had also threatened to kill her. She requested the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR against him.
