Bitter-Sweet Goodbye: SMIU honours outgoing batch of 2012

KARACHI: Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) held a farewell party for the outgoing batch of 2012. The students shared their memories from the years spent at the institution and thanked their teachers for the lessons they learned. SMIU vice-chancellor Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh called these students 'custodians of their alma mater' and urged them to stick to the 130-year-old university motto, 'Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve', in their practical life as well. If you have a degree that is not important but what your teachers taught you is more important, he said.
