ISLAMABAD:

A commissioner’s court on Wednesday issued bailable warrants of arrest for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, Pakistan Awami Tehreek leader Dr Tahirul Qadri, and several others in a case pertaining to violation of a ban on use of loudspeakers in capital.

Islamabad Assistant Commissioner Secretariat Waqas Rasheed issued warrants in response to submission of Asif Nazar aka DJ Butt requesting the court to include others in investigation as well, as at the moment only he was standing trial. The prosecution also requested the same.

The court directed the police to investigate all suspects nominated in the FIR and submit a complete charge sheet against them on next hearing.

A case was registered against DJ Butt and others at the Secretariat Police Station on charges of violating section 144 and sections of amplifier act.

The case was adjourned till February 23.
