According to the ISPR, the army chief was addressing the Corps Commander Conference at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.
He said Pakistan had achieved significant successes in operation Zarb-e-Azb, and the war against terror required unified response.
A holistic review of internal and regional security situation, including the reconciliation process in Afghanistan was discussed, the statement said.

The military's media wing said matters pertaining to the security of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) also came under discussion.
The participants of the conference reviewed the importance of timely and dignified return of the internally-displaced persons (IDPs).
The COAS reiterated that all efforts and resources would be employed to bring about lasting stability and socio-economic revival for prosperity and well-being of displaced people of affected areas.

“Resilience of the entire nation and professionalism of our security forces are our real assets and I am optimistic that we will succeed in bringing enduring peace in Pakistan,” ISPR quoted the army chief as saying.
